Comparing in Creo View Desktop
Creo View Desktop provides capabilities for comparison of MCAD and ECAD designs, structure, bill of material, drawings, images, etc. This allows design engineers, structure engineers among others to visually validate product changes, review design, and make commercial decisions.
You may want to compare two versions of the same product or compare two different versions part component of an object, among other scenarios. Windchill provides different ways to open multiple versions of the product in Creo View. Listed below are a few scenarios for comparison.
Comparing two versions of same product:
1. Select the Information Page of the representation and navigate to History tab.
2. Select the version you would like to compare and click the Open in Creo View icon.
3. In Creo View use the Compare action under Tools to compare the selected version based on content type.
Comparing two different parts’ components:
1. Select the Windchill objects from the common space.
2. Click Copy, to copy the objects to the clipboard.
3. Click > and select the copied components.
4. Click Open in Creo View icon.
5. In Creo View use the Compare action under Tools to compare the selected parts.
