Use Cases: Updating Entities from Upstream to Downstream after Creating Split Assemblies
Use the
New Split Assemblies action, available in the upstream view, to create split assemblies in downstream view from existing assemblies in the upstream view. For more information, see
Creating Multiple Split Assemblies in Downstream View from Assemblies in Upstream View.
The following use cases provide insight into the working of the
New Split Assemblies action available in the upstream view of BOM Transformer.
Configure and add the properties, mentioned in the use cases, to the
custom.site.xconf file. For more information, see
Setting Property Values and Propagating Your Changes.
With the help of these properties, you can define which entities to be updated, either all or specific entities, from upstream view to downstream view. These entities can include parts, plants, plant attributes, departments, and department attributes.
