Creating Engineering Material
To securely manage Engineering Materials and share them with PLM and CAD users, it is recommended to create the engineering materials in a library. Refer Creating a New Library to understand creation of libraries and configuring access to the libraries.

Engineering material creation is a role-based action.

To create a new engineering material:
1. From the Actions menu, select > 
New Engineering Material. Set the attributes and attachments for creating the new engineering material.
New Engineering Material. Set the attributes and attachments for creating the new engineering material.2. Under Part Attributes, provide the Name, Number, and Location. You can also provide the density as applicable under Engineering Material Attributes.
3. Click Next and set the attachments. Attach the material file (.mtl), which provides the engineering material details. Click Finish and the engineering material is created.
You can also create new engineering material in bulk using importable spreadsheet. Compressed Creo material file can also be used as a source to create new engineering materials. For more information, see the following topics.
