Use Cases: Copying Entities from Upstream to Downstream after Creating Split Assemblies
Use the New Split Assemblies action, available in the upstream view, to create split assemblies in downstream view from existing assemblies in the upstream view. For more information, see Creating Multiple Split Assemblies in Downstream View from Assemblies in Upstream View.
The following use cases provide insight into the working of the New Split Assemblies action available in the upstream view of BOM Transformer. Configure and add the properties, mentioned in the use cases, to the custom.site.xconf file. For more information, see Setting Property Values and Propagating Your Changes. With the help of these properties, you can define which entities to be copied, either all or specific entities, from upstream view to downstream view. These entities can include parts, plants, plant attributes, departments, and department attributes, part attributes, and part associations.

The use cases provide insight into the working of the New Split Assemblies action available in the upstream view of the BOM Transformer. The properties and their location , that are mentioned in these use cases are the same for the New Split Assemblies action available in the downstream view of the BOM Transformer. You can use the same properties and try the use cases on split assemblies created using the New Split Assemblies action available in the downstream view of the BOM Transformer.
