Automatic Generation of Manufacturing Structures
Description
MPMLink now supports automatic generation of manufacturing BOMs (mBOMs) and process plans directly from engineering BOMs (eBOMs) and routing plans.
Manufacturing engineers often start building new products from similar product structures and modify only what is necessary. The auto generation process helps them reuse the existing structures efficiently, while eliminating the need for manually creating manufacturing data using multiple steps.
The latest enhancements introduce a range of features to streamline manufacturing planning and improve user experience:
• Access a process plan, plant, and BOM structures in the context of a routing plan in Process Plan Workbench (PPW).
• Drag a part to a workstation to create a localized operation and mBOM transformation along with part allocation.
• Generate manufacturing mBOM, process plan, and routing plan using an existing routing plan.
