Typically, ERP Connector shares data on internal network through a shared location. Custom middleware or other interfaces then process this data in the form of ESI response file. In Windchill+, the data is shared through Azure Blob Storage service instead of a shared location. Users can author custom logic to pull this data from Azure Blob storage and consume it with custom middleware or custom interfaces.

Users can now define a file type distribution target for publishing ESI response to Azure Blob Storage. Windchill ESI now supports generating ESI response file in JSON format. For more information, see Creating a Distribution Target.
