Controls for Automatic Parts List Updates
Some default controls are provided for the Update Parts List action.
• User permission — the Update Parts List action is only available if you have permission to modify the selected parts list.
• Lifecycle state control — if the parts list is at lifecycle state Released, it is revised before it is updated. The Update Parts List action is only available if you have permission to revise the selected parts list.
The preference Lifecycle States to revise a structure during regeneration defines what lifecycle states have this control. If the current state of the parts list is not listed as one of the preference’s values, the parts list is iterated when updated.
