Prerequisites
This topic is intended for administrators.
Before installing the Windchill AI Assistant plugin in an on‑premises or SaaS environment, ensure that you meet the following prerequisites:
• You have a supported Windchill version installed. For more information, see Supported Versions and Requirements.
• The Windchill AI product is licensed for your organization. For more information, see Windchill AI Assistant Plugin License for the On-prem Environment and Windchill AI Assistant Plugin License for the SaaS Environment.
• The Windchill product is assigned to your PTC SaaS Platform organization.
• You have Site Administrator and/or Business Administrator privileges in Windchill and have access to the Windchill product in your PTC SaaS Platform organization.
• For on-premises environments, ensure that the required DNS entries and ports are configured for the Windchill instance. For more information, see Network Connectivity Requirements for On-prem Environment.
• For SaaS environments, ensure that the Windchill+ product instance is registered for your organization in the PTC Admin Center. For more information, see Register a Windchill Product Instance.
• A browser-trusted SSL/TLS certificate is configured on the Windchill instance that hosts the Windchill AI Assistant plugin.

Self-signed or untrusted certificates are not supported and can cause the Windchill AI Assistant to disconnect and become unresponsive. For more information, see Troubleshooting for On-prem Environment or Troubleshooting for SaaS Environment.
