Deleting Azure Resources for an On‑Prem Environment
This section describes how to delete Azure resources that were created for an on‑prem environment.

When you delete models or Azure AI Foundry resources, they are placed in a soft-delete state by default. During the retention period:
• The resources can be recovered.
• New resources with the same name cannot be created.
If you need to permanently remove the resources or immediately reuse the same resource names, you must explicitly purge the deleted resources.

Follow these steps:
1. Delete Azure AI Foundry related resources:
a. Sign in to the Azure AI Portal.
b. Locate the Azure AI Foundry resource whose name is prefixed with the template deployment name.
c. From the resource’s navigation menu, select Models + Endpoints.
d. Delete all models.
2. Delete remaining Azure resources:
◦ Review the remaining Azure resources created by the deployment.
◦ If these resources are no longer required, delete them individually or delete the entire resource group that contains them.
