Some documents might not get reindexed immediately when they are modified (upon iteration change); reindexing occurs during the next synchronization task.

To ensure that all documents are indexed, go to Synchronize Index on the Indexing Dashboard, and click Start to trigger synchronization.

Context selection for Workspaces in Windchill is not supported.

Check in your documents into a context to use them in combination with the Windchill AI Assistant.

The Windchill AI Assistant is indexing only the latest version of a document.

To experiment with previous versions of documents in the vault, create copies or recreate them as the latest version.

When the indexing user’s access to certain documents or a context is removed, the indexed data is not immediately deleted from the AI index.

Trigger synchronization manually or wait for the next automated synchronization to resolve such issues.

In Windchill+ 12.1.2.22, after installing the Windchill AI Assistant plugin, the Plugin Manager user interface may remain in a loading state and not refresh automatically, even though the installation has completed successfully. In general, the plugin installation takes approximately 6 minutes to complete.

If the Plugin Manager user interface continues to show a loading state more than 6 minutes after starting the installation, refresh the web browser to update the Plugin Manager user interface.

When you use the Policy Administration utility to remove the indexing user’s access to a container that was previously selected on the Indexing Dashboard, background indexing may stop functioning for containers selected afterward. As a result, documents that are added, modified, or removed in those newly selected containers are not indexed automatically.

Update the Windchill AI Assistant Plugin to version 2026.0.0.21.

Queue entries with number values greater than 2,147,483,647 cannot be consumed successfully from the queue. As a result, the associated business objects are not indexed.

Update the Windchill AI Assistant Plugin to version 2026.0.0.21 on one of the following Windchill versions or later:

In earlier Windchill+ versions, queue entries with number values greater than 2,147,483,647 may remain indefinitely in the Executing state, blocking further indexing.

Workaround—If an earlier Windchill+ version is used, manually delete the queue entries that are in the Executing state from the WindchillAIAssistant_QUEUE to allow indexing to continue.
