Firewall/Proxy/VPN Access
Some customers might need to contact PTC Technical Support to get the vendor portal working correctly through firewalls, proxies, or VPN software, even if internal access works for vendors.
If the external hostname is different from the internal hostname, special configurations are needed (including reverse proxies and dual DNS) so download links and image rendering continue to work correctly.
There have also been instances of firewalls and proxies not handling redirects correctly. These instances require the assistance of that product’s technical support, as well as PTC Technical Support services.
