Removing Component Links
Removing All Product Option Links
From the
Relationships page, you can remove product option links. Click the remove icon
, and select one of two options:
• De-Link Product and Components—Select this option to remove the links between both the products and any linked product components. The parent components are no longer shared on the child product.
• De-Link Product and Copy Linked Components—Select this option to remove the link between the products. The system copies the borrowed components to the child product, and de-links these copies from the parent components.
Removing Specification Links
To remove the link between specifications, select the empty value from the menu, and then click Save.
Removing Specification Component Links
To remove the link between product specification components, do the following:
1. Navigate to the child’s specifications Summary page.
2. Click the expand icon
for the specification.
3. Click the expand icon
for
Components. The system displays the components for that specification, indicating linked components by the linked to product icon.
4. To remove a component link, from the corresponding Actions menu, select Delink.
| Unlinked components do not have the Delink option in their Actions menus. |
5. Click OK to remove the link from the corresponding component from its parent product. The system takes you to page for the component that you have just de-linked.
De-linked components exist as a copy of the parent component, but maintain no association to the parent. They exist as independent components on their own product.
