Use a ThingMark-Enabled Thing Template in an Experience
This section provides instructions for using a ThingMark-enabled thing template in an Experience.
Configuring the Thing Template in ThingWorx Composer
1. In ThingWorx Composer, navigate to the thing template that you want to make ThingMark-enabled.
2. On the General Information page, search for and select PTC.ExperienceService.ThingmarkEnabledShape thing shape in the Implemented Shapes field.

For older instances, the thing shape may be named Vuforia.VuforiaExperienceService.VuMarkEnabledShape.
3. Click Save.
4. Navigate to a thing that implements the thing template that has been ThingMark-enabled. On the Properties page for that thing, you see the Thingmark property appear under PTC.ExperienceService.ThingmarkEnabledShape.

For older instances, the thing shape may be named Vuforia.VuforiaExperienceService.VuMarkEnabledShape, and the property VuMark.
5. In the Value column, click Set. Enter the name of the ThingMark that you want to associate to the thing.
6. Click Save.
Building the AR Experience with the ThingMark-enabled Thing Template
1. From your project in Vuforia Studio, navigate to Configuration > Experiences.
2. From the ThingMark Association drop-down menu, select Thing Template.
3. Enter a title for your Experience.
4. Select the thing template that you implemented the ThingMark-enabled data shape on from the Template drop-down menu.
5. Select a view name and enter a description for the Experience.
6. Click Close.
7. Drag a ThingMark widget onto the canvas.
8. In the ThingMark properties, delete the value for the ThingMark field.
9. From the Data pane, click the arrow next to Application Parameters.
10. Bind the ThingMark application parameter to the ThingMark property by dragging the parameter and dropping it in the target circle next to the ThingMark property.
11. Click the plus next to Resources, and click Select Files. Navigate to the PVZ file you want to include in your Experience, and then click Add.
12. Drag and drop a Model widget onto the canvas.
13. In the Properties pane for the model, select the PVZ file, from the Resource drop-down menu. If desired, adjust the appearance of the model on the canvas.
14. Drag and drop a 3D Label and 3D Gauge widget onto the canvas.
15. With the 3D Label widget selected in the tree, select Yes from the drop-down menu for Billboard.
16. In the Data pane, click the + sign next to External Data.
17. Search for the ThingMark-enabled thing for which you want to add data, and add the GetPropertyValues service by clicking the plus next to the service. Click Close.
18. Select 3D Label in the project tree. In the Data pane, expand the Current Selected Item section, and drag and drop the appropriate property onto the binding target for the Text property of the 3D label. For example, if you want the name of the thing to appear as the label, bind the name property to the Text property of the 3D label.
19. Select 3D Gauge in the project tree. From the Current Selected Item section, drag and drop the appropriate property onto the binding target for the Text property of the 3D gauge. For example, if you wanted RPMs to appear for the gauge data, bind the RPM property to the Text property of the 3D gauge.
20. Expand the Configuration section in the Data pane, and select the following checkboxes.
Invoke On Startup—Ensures that live data appears in an Experience
Auto-refresh—Ensures that live data appears in an Experience
Invoke On Entity Change—Ensures that the correct data is displayed for the correct thing.
21. Drag and drop the Thing application parameter onto the Dynamic Entity Name field of the ThingMark-enabled thing.
22. Last, click Save and then Publish.
