System Requirements
The requirements listed below are applicable to the following ThingWorx Analytics components:
• ThingWorx Analytics Server
• Descriptive Analytics
• Analytics Extension, which includes Analytics Builder and Analytics Manager
These requirements also match those listed in the
ThingWorx 8.3 System Requirements on the PTC Reference Documents site.
Operating System
The ThingWorx Analytics components are supported on the following operating systems:
• Linux – supported on the following 64-bit Linux distributions that use systemd:

◦ Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
◦ RedHat 7.x
• Windows:
◦ Windows Server 2008, R2 SP1
◦ Windows Server 2012
◦ Windows Server 2016

Requires Windows Powershell version 3 or higher.

Web Browser
The ThingWorx Analytics Server and products are supported on the following browsers:
• Internet Explorer 11 and later
• Firefox 49 and later
• Chrome 53 and later
• Safari 10 and later
Hardware
The ThingWorx Analytics and Descriptive Analytics components must meet the following minimum hardware requirements:
• 10 GB of free disk space
• 4 CPU cores
• 16 GB internal memory
Analytics Extension components do not have hardware requirements of their own but they depend on ThingWorx Foundation meeting its own hardware requirements.
