Analytics Server Components
ThingWorx Analytics Server is composed of a ThingWorx Adapter for Analytics Server (formerly known as the Analytics Gateway), a common worker, and a set of individual microservices that each focus on a specific area of functionality. Interaction with these microservices requires that ThingWorx is already installed and running.
When you launch the installer, you are prompted to select the components you want to install. The specific components available depends on the version you are installing.
For the 8.5 release, you can choose to install one or both of the following microservices:
• Async microservice – The common worker and ZooKeeper are automatically installed with the Async microservice.
• Sync microservice – This microservice is installed alone, with no workers and no ZooKeeper.
For releases from 8.1 to 8.4, you can choose to install all of the following microservices and components or a subset.
