SQL Server
The following are requirements for ThingWorx Applications to function:

MS SQL Express and Azure SQL Managed Instance are not currently supported.

• ThingWorx Applications database collation must be set to SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
• Place the database and log files on separate drives.
• Ensure that the SQL manager to be used by the ThingWorx Applications has "dbo" assigned as default schema.
• Server and database time zones must be in UTC.
Verify that the SQL server meets the requirements as detailed in the ThingWorx system requirements for on the version you are installing. For more information, see the ThingWorx 9.3 System Requirements in the ThingWorx 9 Help Center or the ThingWorx 8.5.7 System Requirements in the ThingWorx 8 Help Center. For capacity planning concerns, these requirements should explain specific details. These requirements apply to both Azure SQL and MS SQL.
