Step 1: Create User Groups and Assign Users
Create two users groups, for example, PackageManagers and DeploymentManagers. These user groups are used to specify the following types of users for ThingWorx Software Content Management:
• PackageManagers—Users that can create and test packages.
• DeploymentManagers—Users that can perform production deployments.

These steps assume that you have already created non-administrator users that should be assigned to these groups.

1. In the left navigation pane in ThingWorx Composer, under Security, select User Groups.
2. On the User Groups page, click New.
3. Enter PackageManagers in the Name field. Click Save.
4. Click Edit to go to the Members tab.
5. In the Available Members table, select the check box next to the user, and click 
. The member is displayed in the Members table. This assigns users to the user groups.

7. Repeat steps 1 to 5 to create the DeploymentManagers user group.
