User Groups for Solution Central
User groups allow you to efficiently aggregate multiple users and assign permissions at the aggregate level. They are similar to the groups that are typically used in an LDAP system. Groups can also contain other groups, which allows a group to inherit the authorizations applied to other groups. This provides flexibility in the authorization setup.
Groups can also be managed in runtime by using the Resources services. This topic details user groups specific to Solution Central.
Complete the following steps to add a user to the SolutionCentralSiteAdministrators or SolutionCentralDevelopers group:
1. In ThingWorx Composer, click Browse in the left navigation panel.
2. In the left panel, choose Security > User Groups.
3. From the User Groups list, select the check box next to the SolutionCentralSiteAdministrators or SolutionCentralDevelopers group and click View.
4. Click Edit. The Manage Members window is displayed.
5. Under the Available Members section, search for the user, select the check box next to the user, and click the arrow to move it to the Members section.
6. Alternatively, to remove a user from these groups, under the Members section, select the check box next to the user, and click Remove.
7. Click Save.
Solution Central Organization
The Solution Central organization exists to grant visibility permissions to both the SolutionCentralDevelopers and SolutionCentralSiteAdministrators groups. This organization has visibility permissions to the PlatformSubsystem.
SolutionCentralSiteAdministrators GroupĀ 
The SolutionCentralSiteAdministrators group exists as an easy way to grant administrative permissions for Solution Central. A user who is in this group can view deployment requests as well as read and execute the services present in the SolutionCentralSubsystem. This user can also register and update registration details for the instance, and deploy solutions.
SolutionCentralDevelopers GroupĀ 
A user in the SolutionCentralDevelopers group is able to package and publish solutions to Solution Central. They can also publish legacy extensions to Solution Central
