Viewing Mashups in Read-Only Mode
The Mashup Builder design environment is designed to allow one user to edit a mashup at a time. This limitation can cause conflicts when multiple users want to review mashup design. To limit this type of conflict, you can use read-only mode to view a mashup on the Design tab. In this mode, all edit functionality is disabled and you can view mashup configurations, such as layouts, widgets, functions, and bindings without making permanent changes or overwriting the edits of other users. You can enter the read-only mode in one of the following ways:
• Open a mashup and click Cancel in the dialog used to indicate that another user is editing the mashup.
• End a mashup editing session by clicking the Cancel button.
The following functionality is available in read-only mode:
• Configuration panels and dialogs such the Layout, Properties, Data, Bindings, and Mashup Parameters display the property values and bindings without support for editing.
• The canvas toolbar contains options for adjusting the workspace and selecting a languages. Options that are used for editing are hidden.
• Mashup configuration tabs such as Custom CSS, Mobile Settings, and Permissions are set to view only.
In addition to read-only mode, you can use the Mashup Preview tab to preview a mashup without leaving the Composer interface.
