Customize the User Interface
ThingWorx Navigate allows you to make several quick and easy changes to provide a customized experience of the out-of-the-box tasks. Using ThingWorx Composer you can:
• Change the logo
• Add a custom banner
• Change the out-of-the-box UI labels
Any other change made to an out-of-the-box task is not supported by ThingWorx Navigate at this point.
When You Customize, Plan for an Upgrade
After you upgrade ThingWorx Navigate, you must recreate your customizations by manually importing them. You may need to adapt them to the new version. It is your responsibility to track the changes in tasks with basic customizations. Here are some recommendations for customizing a task with upgrade in mind:
• Before you change any entity, save a copy of it.
• Use your own source-controlled exported entities.
• Use tags to make it quicker and easier to find and recognize all your updated entities.
• For major customizations, make a copy of the task you want to change, and use it as a starting point for your custom task.
