Upgrade Windchill Navigate
Before You Begin
Before you begin upgrading to Windchill Navigate 9.7.x, complete the following steps:
1. Make sure that your current Windchill Navigate is up and running.
2. Take note of your tailoring settings, and check if you see changes after you complete the upgrade.
3. Confirm that the connection between Windchill and Windchill Navigate works.
If you have customized your Windchill Navigate using the out-of-the-box Windchill Navigate services, we recommend that you verify if any of these services have been modified in the new version of Windchill Navigate. For more information, see Compare Versions of Windchill Navigate.

Determine the Upgrade Support for Your Version
When upgrading your Windchill Navigate server, we recommend upgrading to the latest available release. Refer to the Windchill Navigate Upgrade Support Matrix to determine the upgrade support for your version.

Download the Files for Windchill Navigate Upgrade
1. From the PTC Software Download page, select WINDCHILL NAVIGATE (FORMERLY THINGWORX NAVIGATE).
2. Expand Release APPs > Windchill Navigate 9.7.
3. Now, expand Most Recent Version and download the bundle suitable for your operating system:
Windows—Windchill-Navigate-<version>-Windows
Linux—Windchill-Navigate-<version>-Linux
4. Next to Download now, select your download method. The file is downloaded and you’re ready to continue.
5. Extract the downloaded bundle and proceed with your in-place upgrade. The In-Place Upgrade topic provides detailed steps for upgrade.
