* Indicates whether the assembly is logical or physical. A logical assembly is made up of components that are not necessarily in physical proximity, or connected to each other. A physical assembly is made up of components that are connected, or are in physical proximity to each other.

* Indicates whether the assembly is transient or permanent. In a transient assembly, the relationship between components during production is temporary, for example, a batch kit or materials located on a pallet. In a permanent assembly, the production process does not separate the assembly components.
