About the Windchill Shell
PTC recommends running all server-side Windchill applications, tools, and utilities from the windchill shell. Also, you can use the windchill shell to set up your development environment to use javac or Java directly.
When you are finished using the windchill shell, you can exit the shell and return to the parent shell.
Launching a windchill Shell
1. Open a command prompt or power shell.
2. Navigate to the <WT_Home>\SW\Applications\Windchill.ear\bin directory.
3. Type windchill shell to launch a windchill shell.
Propagating Properties in a windchill Shell
To propagate a property, run the following command: xconfmanager -pF
