What’s New
Support for image question
Service teams often need to capture and present visual information in forms, especially for inspections, maintenance tasks, and compliance documentation. Until now, DataGuide Form Designer did not offer a dedicated way to include annotate-able images directly within forms. A new Image question is now available in the Form Designer. This question allows administrators to upload images into forms and configure whether end users can annotate them during service execution.
This feature eliminates the need for external image markup tools and ensures consistent image handling within forms. Administrators gain flexibility to control whether images are view-only or annotate-able. This improves the documentation quality, allowing service teams to visually explain findings and actions with clarity.
Administrators can now add an Image question to the Form Designer and configure key properties such as naming, visibility, and annotation permissions. Uploaded images are automatically resized while maintaining aspect ratios. For more information, see Image Question.
End Users can now annotate the images directly in the form. When annotation is enabled, they can draw on the image to provide clear visual context for their service actions.
Administrators can add the configured Image question in the Form Designer to the Document Template Canvas either as a Standard Layout or Custom Layout. For more information, see Image.
Custom fonts in PDF
Companies have branding requirements that help them stand out clearly from competitors. Using proprietary fonts is essential for maintaining brand integrity, differentiating corporate communications, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Administrators often encounter challenges in meeting internal brand standards when creating customer-facing PDF documents, primarily due to limitations in font customization. Standard fonts may not align with specific corporate compliance requirements and branding guidelines.
Custom fonts in PDFs allows administrators to upload and use proprietary company fonts when designing and generating documents. This capability ensures that the documents consistently adhere to branding guidelines and remain compliant with corporate policies. For more information, see Custom Fonts and Viewing Custom Font in PDF.
