Certificate-Based Authentication
Certificate-based authentication aligns with FedRAMP High Authenticator Assurance Level (AAL) 3 digital identity requirements and personal identification verification (PIV) cards.
To enable Certificate-Based Authentication, you must enable the setting in the Salesforce org.
1. Navigate to Salesforce setup.
2. Enter Identity Verification in the Quick Find box.
3. Select Identity Verification.
4. In the General section, selectLet users authenticate with a certificate.
This allows the org to accept the certificate along with the login credentials. For more information, see Log In to Your Org with Certificate-Based Authentication.
