Saving Unsynced Data
You can save a copy of unsynced data during the Reset operation to prevent the loss of data. This can be achieved using a custom setting.
To create a custom setting:
1. Go to ServiceMax Setup > App Administration > Settings.
2. Select Module: ServiceMax iPad Client; Submodule: Synchronization.
3. On the Custom Settings section, click New Setting. Enter the values for the fields as described below:
◦ Setting Id: FSA_EXPORT_DATA
◦ Setting Name: Export data pending to be synchronized with server
◦ Setting Description: When this setting is True, a zip file containing the data pending to be synchronized will be created on the user’s desktop when the user resets the FSA Windows app.
◦ Data Type: Boolean
◦ Setting Type: Group
◦ Search Order: Group, Global.

If your setting type is Group use Group, Global. If your setting is Global use Global.

◦ Values: True or False
4. Click Save.
