IB App Configurations
This section provides guidelines on best practices for IB App Configurations.
Using filters and limiting the size while downloading attachments
Installed Base App has specific configuration options for downloading attachments. It supports filters that allow you to define the file type and limit the size of attachments to be downloaded. It is recommended that you define the file type and the maximum limit of the file size so that the required attachments only are downloaded to the device.
Limiting the number of events and work orders downloaded
It is recommended to keep the number of events and work orders downloaded to the minimum because IBs and related attachments downloaded are based on the number of events and work orders downloaded.
Providing access to Technician
If SET014 (Module: ServiceMax iPad Client, Sub-Module: Synchronization) value is set to TRUE, ensure that the logged-in Technician has access to the Installed Products, Locations, and the related attachments/Files.
Reducing the schedule time for Batch/ External Updates
If there are batch updates or external updates on Installed Products and Location, avoid scheduling the updates too frequently as each data sync brings the modified records, which impacts the sync performance.
