Overview
The Accounts page in PTC Orbit delivers a consolidated view of every company or customer record your organization manages. When a user opens the page via the new Accounts item in the left-hand navigation, the grid automatically displays key columns so teams can browse, sort, or drill into account information without leaving the list view. A column-level filter row and a column-selector gear let each user refine the table to show exactly the data they need, while in-grid links make it easy to initiate calls or open related resources.
How it works
Select Columns: Choose which fields are visible, hide noise, and reorder columns; giving every role a personalized view without impacting other users.
Apply Column Filters: Enter text, picklist values, or date ranges in the filter row under each column header to narrow the dataset instantly. For example, Industry = Manufacturing.
Search Global Bar: Use the top search box to find a specific account by name, number, or any indexed field; handy for jumping straight to a single record.
Sort Columns: Click any column header to sort ascending or descending (e.g., sort Updated On to see the most recently modified accounts).
Open Account Detail: Click an account's row to launch its full record page, where you can view contacts, assets, service history, and related opportunities.
Row links: Click a phone number to place a call or a URL to open the company website in a new tab.
