To Create or Assign a Contour Curve
Contour curves define an article's outline. An outline is used to cut out an article from the strip in a strip layout. The contour curve must be defined as parallel to the driving surface, but does not have to lie directly on it. You can create an outline automatically or manually:
1. To create an automatic outline, click > , then select a datum plane that intersects the article parallel to the driving surface.
2. To create a manual outline, sketch a contour curve parallel to the driving surface (make sure that there are no dependencies on surfaces created by Unbend features), then click > > .
