To avoid compatibility issues, PTC strongly recommends that you check the Windchill PDMLink Software Matrices on PTC.com before upgrading the Windchill PDMLink Digital Product Traceability extension.

PTC recommends that you back up all custom configuration Things prior to an upgrade.

Use the following instructions to upgrade and use release-specific Windchill PDMLink Digital Product Traceability extension:
1. Upgrade your installed version of Platform and ThingWorx Flow to the required version. For instruction on performing the upgrade, see the guide Upgrading to on
Reference Documents.
2. Download the Windchill_Digital_Product_Traceability_Bundle zip file from the
PTC Software Download page on PTC.com, and extract the contents of the zip to a local drive.
3. Import the Windchill_Digital_Product_Traceability-extension to Platform. For information on importing extensions in Platform, see the topic
Configuring the Windchill Digital Product Traceability (DPT) Extension in ThingWorx in the Windchill PDMLink Help Center.
4. Restart Platform. The downloaded Windchill_Digital_Product_Traceability-extension overwrites any previous or older version after this step is performed.
5. Verify that the appropriate entities are available in Composer after the Windchill_Digital_Product_Traceability-extension is imported. For information on the list of entities displayed in Composer, see the topic
