Project activity action (UPDM - NAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Project Activity Action:
From a Project Activity: right-click the Project Activity, point to New, point to NAF, and then click Project Activity Action.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Project Activity that is invoked by the Project Activity Action.
From an NPV-2 Project Activity Hierarchy: click the Composite Association button, click the calling Project Activity, and then click the called Project Activity.
Click the Project Activity Action button, and then click in free space on the diagram. On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Project Activity that is invoked by the Project Activity Action.
From an appropriate Modeler pane, locate the Project Activity element that will be invoked by the Project Activity Action, and then drag that element to free space on the diagram.
On the Items tab of a Project Activity Action element's property pages, you can view and navigate to the Project Activity that is invoked by the Project Activity Action through the Linked Item association.
Input Pins and Output Pins
A Project Activity Action can own Project Input Pin and Project Output Pin elements.
On creation of a Project Activity Action, Modeler creates a Project Input Pin or Project Output Pin to represent each Project Parameter of the Project Activity that is used as the type of the Project Activity Action.
Note that after creating a Project Activity Action, Project Input Pin and Project Output Pin elements are not automatically created for new Project Parameter elements that are created on the associated Project Activity.
