Standard configuration (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Standard Configuration:
From an Architectural Description or Service Description: right-click the Architectural Description or Service Description, point to New, point to DoDAF, point to Standard, and then click Standard Configuration.
From a Performer (System): right-click the Performer (System), point to New, point to DoDAF, and then click Standard Configuration.
From an SV-1 Systems Interface Definition: click the Standard Configuration button, and then click in free space on the diagram.
After creating a Standard Configuration, use its Full Text property to specify the text of the Standard Configuration.
Applying to elements
When you create a Standard Configuration it is applied to the owning Performer (System), unless the owning element is an Architectural Description or Service Description. You can apply a Standard Configuration to many Performer (System) elements.
To apply a Standard Configuration to a Performer (System):
From an SV-1 Systems Interface Definition: click the Note Link button, click the Standard Configuration, and then click the Performer (System) to which the Standard Configuration applies.
From an appropriate Modeler pane:
Right-click the Standard Configuration, point to Links, and then click Standard Configuration Element. From the Links Editor, select the Performer (System) elements to which the Standard Configuration applies.
Right-click the Performer (System), point to Links, point to Applied, and then click Standard Configuration. From the Links Editor, select the Standard Configuration elements that apply to the Performer (System).

When shown on an SV-1 Systems Interface Definition, a Standard Configuration appears as follows:
Relationships
There are no relationships that are of significant importance to a Standard Configuration.
