Service channel (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Service Channel:
From an OV-2 Operational Resource Flow Description or SV-2 Systems Resource Flow Description: click the Shallow Service Channel or Shallow Uni-Directional Service Channel button, click the source Service Port (Requires) or Service Port (Provides), and then click the destination Service Port (Requires) or Service Port (Provides).
To create a Service Channel and the connecting Service Port (Requires) or Service Port (Provides) elements in one operation:
From an OV-2 Operational Resource Flow Description: click the Complete Service Channel button, click the source Known Resource, Performer Role or Problem Domain, and then click the destination Known Resource, Performer Role or Problem Domain.
Choose whether to create source and destination Service Port (Requires) or Service Port (Provides) elements, and then select the type of those elements.
From an SV-2 Systems Resource Flow Description: click the Complete Service Channel button, click the source Resource Role, and then click the destination Resource Role.
Choose whether to create source and destination Service Port (Requires) or Service Port (Provides) elements, and then select the type of those elements.
