What’s new in Integrity Modeler 9.0
SQL Server
Integrity Modeler 9.0 now uses SQL Server as the database engine service. SQL Server provides enterprise scale, performance, and security for databases and model data storage. SQL Server is widely available, inexpensive, and easy to deploy and maintain, which minimizes the total cost of ownership. For more information, see Introduction to SQL Server Administration.
Automated upgrade and data migration from previous versions of Integrity Modeler allows quick and easy deployment. For more information, see Migrating Data from Enabler to SQL Server.
Model Explorer
Model Explorer provided with Integrity Modeler 9.0 provides a centralized management functionality for databases and models.
You can now perform the following functions:
Create and delete databases
Backup and restore databases
Clear locks
Optimize databases
Set access permissions
Create and assign server and database users, groups, and administrators
Caching has changed and may affect customizations that need to read data changed by other users or processes. To ensure that the latest data is read, refresh the package or model. To refresh a package or a model, see Refresh function.
SySim
Integrity Modeler 9.0 SySim includes the following features and enhancements:
SySim now supports integration with Phoenix Integration Model Center, which enables SysML blocks to be linked to simulation units and workflows in ModelCenter. This allows live co-simulation between both tools, in addition to many other simulation tools that can integrate with ModelCenter. For more information, see Overview of Integration with Phoenix ModelCenter.
SySim now supports SysML arrays.
SySim now recognizes the feature directions Provided, Required, ProvidedRequired on interface properties.
Model Manager
You can now perform additional operations using Model Manager. For example:
Create new models
Start or stop databases
Create or delete databases
Backup and restore databases

Web Interface
Integrity Modeler 9.0 Web Interface includes the following enhancements:
You can now generate a URL link for the current version of model items, which can be used to create links that always point to the current (latest) item version. For more information, see Web Interface website - Toolbar links and buttons (Web Interface).
Administrators can now manage License usage within Web Interface.
Sorting of model versions is now more intuitive.
Web Interface REST service
Integrity Modeler 9.0 Web Interface REST service now supports access to the current version of model items. This can be used to create trace links that always point to the current (latest) item version. For more information, see Requesting the available versions of a model (Web Interface REST service).
OSLC Integrations
Integrity Modeler 9.0 OSLC integration includes the following enhancements:
OSLC Provider now supports access to the current version of model items, which can be used to create trace links that always point to the current (latest) item version. For more information refer to the Help provided within the service itself.
OSLC Consumer for Integrity Modeler allows you to create OSLC Links and Surrogates to the current version of remote model items. For more information, see OSLC Link and Surrogate Behavior.
Integration for IBM Rational DOORS
You can now retain the DOORS default view during synchronization.
Security
Integrity Modeler 9.0 provides enhanced application security in all areas of the product including default deployment of HTTPS for web applications and services, secure OSLC authentication and the option to configure TLS for database communication.
PTC Help Center
Integrity Modeler 9.0 documentation has the following enhancements:
The documentation is now delivered as a PTC Help Center, which provides better user experience when searching and accessing information.
The documentation includes user features, administration, customization and installation chapters.
The PTC Help Center is installed with Integrity Modeler 9.0 and is also accessible on the PTC Support website, consistent with other PTC products.
