What’s new in Windchill Modeler 9.6
Integration with Windchill PLM
The integration between Windchill Modeler and Windchill PLM has been enhanced to include reverse lookup capabilities that allow you to view OSLC Links stored in Windchill PLM. These features give you bi-directional visibility to trace relationships from both Windchill Modeler and Windchill PLM. As well as this you can easily navigate to the linked items in either tool to view the full set of information. For more information, see OSLC Integration with Windchill PDMLink.
Integration with Codebeamer
Windchill Modeler 9.6 delivers an OSLC-based integration with Codebeamer, enabling system and software models to be linked to the relevant requirements using OSLC Links and OSLC Surrogates. These features ensure traceability with requirements in the downstream tool, Windchill Modeler, helping you to coordinate and align designs across engineering disciplines and efficiently manage design changes. Other functions include resource previews, view in native system and suspecting, all providing you with a user experience consistent with other Windchill Modeler OSLC integrations. This new integration with Codebeamer strengthens PTC’s commitment to enabling product traceability across the engineering digital thread. For more information, see OSLC integration with Codebeamer.
Integration with Windchill RV&S
The integration between Windchill Modeler and Windchill RV&S now has an improved user experience and the ability to accommodate large datasets more effectively. This release allows you to perform a search for requirements, making it easier and faster to locate data even when using large datasets in Windchill RV&S. In addition, the View In Native System function now links directly to the Windchill RV&S refreshed web UI, ensuring you have the best experience when navigating the trace relationships. For more information, see OSLC integration with Windchill RV&S.
Integration with Siemens Polarion
The OSLC-based integration with Siemens Polarion has been improved to provide preview pages when viewing traceability relationships to Polarion resources. The preview pages allow you to view the main properties for the linked requirement and contain clickable hyperlinks that open the Polarion requirement in your default web browser. The integration with Polarion is also now enabled by default for easier deployment and adoption. For more information, see OSLC integration with Polarion.
Integration with IBM DOORS Next
Improved support for enterprise deployments with new capabilities that enable Windchill Modeler to integrate with distributed DOORS Next environments. For more information, see OSLC integration with IBM DOORS Next.
