Board features
A feature is a component on a board. In Modeler you construct a board layout using:
processors
board i/o devices
memory devices
Each board feature has an internal structure and/or an external configuration described by its type. You associate a board feature to a board feature type to give it these characteristics.
Processors and memory devices are not represented graphically on your System Architecture Diagram but a board i/o device is displayed as a board connection point on the perimeter of a board symbol.
To set up a new feature
1. In the appropriate pane, right-click the board type for your feature.
2. Point to New, and then click the required feature.
The new feature appears in the expanded view of the board type in the relationships pane. Change the name and details of the feature through its Property pages.
