Overview of import process (Connector for IBM Rational Rose)
Connector for IBM Rational Rose uses a wizard style interface that prompts you to:
Select the source Rose model and the source packages from which you want to import the selected diagram types.
Select the diagram types you want to import.
Select the destination model in Modeler and the destination Package in which you want to create the new diagrams.
Set import options.
*
All Classes in the selected Packages are imported.
You can import properties and stereotypes defined through the ANSI C++ and VC++ languages.
Connector for IBM Rational Rose imports the following diagrams types from Rose:
Rose Diagram Type
Modeler Diagram Type
Activity Diagram
Activity Diagram or General Flow Diagram
Class Diagram

Communication Diagram

When you select a Package to import, you can optionally include its child Packages. Parent Packages are ignored. If the imported Packages are part of a Package hierarchy, this hierarchy is created in Modeler.
If a Class has the ANSI C++ language assigned, Connector for IBM Rational Rose imports the ImplementationType value. To import ImplementationType values that are multi-lined or greater than 100 characters, you must create a CplusplusImplementationType tag definition and apply it through a Stereotype to Type Definitions
