External connector (automation interface)
A connection between an Actor and an Interface Device or Subsystem on the System Architecture Diagram.

In addition to the common attributes
Constraints
A textual property describing restrictions on the values that may be assumed.
Access is read/write.
Description
A textual property that gives an overview of the dictionary item.
Access is read/write.
Flow Direction
A property describing the direction of the External Connector between items on the diagram. Possible values are:
0 - means start-end
1 - means end-start
2 - means bi-directional
3 - means none
Access is read/write.
ASSOCIATIONS:
In addition to the common associations
A relationship with an Actor dictionary item.
Multiplicity is 1, access is read/write.
Relationship to Comments that are applied to the External Connector.
Multiplicity is 0+, access is read/write.
External Interface
A relationship with an abstract External Interface dictionary item. An External Interface has an association with a Subsystem or Interface Device.
Multiplicity is 1, access is read/write.
Relationship to Comments that are owned by the External Connector.
Multiplicity is 0+, access is read/write.
