Properties to synchronize page (Integration for IBM Rational DOORS)
This page of Integration for IBM Rational DOORS allows you to specify which item and diagram properties are included in the Synchronization process.
Each property maps to a specified DOORS attribute. To minimize synchronization times and the size of surrogate modules in DOORS, only synchronize property types that are relevant.
By default, the Name property is mapped to the Object Text DOORS attribute, so that each surrogate object can be identified through the name of its associated model item.
In addition to the common navigation buttons, the following controls appear on this page of Integration for IBM Rational DOORS.
Property Mappings list - lists the properties of the item, diagram and Stereotype types you included in the synchronization through the Types to Synchronize page, including any Tag Definitions that are applied to those types. You can expand each property to see the item, diagram or Stereotype types to which the property applies.
For more information about a listed property, see the Automation Interface > Object Attributes and Associations (Item Properties and Links) section of the Help.
Select the check boxes associated with the properties you want to include in the synchronization. If a property applies to two or more item, diagram or Stereotype types and you do not want to synchronize the property for all the types, select only those check boxes associated with the item, diagram and Stereotype types for which you want to synchronize the property. When you select a check box, Integration for IBM Rational DOORS populates the associated cell in the DOORS Attribute column with a default name - the DOORS Attribute name is the name of the attribute that is created in DOORS to store the value of the property. If you want to use a different DOORS attribute to store the property, select a different DOORS attribute or type in an alternative name.
*
To map an Enumeration tag definition, the names of the enumeration's literals in Modeler and DOORS must match, including the case of the names.
If you want to synchronize extended item properties that are applied by a Stereotype, on the Types To Synchronize page you must select the check box associated with that Stereotype.
Export RTF Properties as Plain Text check box - specifies that rich text fields (as indicated in the Is RTF column) are exported as plain text, rather than rich text. When this check box is cleared, bold, italic, underscore and alignment features of rich text are synchronized; image, model object reference, color, text size and OLE embedding features of rich text are not synchronized.
