Definition (UPDM - MODAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Definition:
• From an element: right-click the element, point to New, point to MODAF, and then click Definition.
• From a diagram: click the Definition button, and then click in free space on the diagram.

To apply a Definition to an element:
• From an element: right-click the element, point to Links, point to Applied, and then click Definition. On the Links Editor dialog, select the Definition elements that apply to the element.
• From a Definition: right-click the Definition, point to Links, and then click Defined Element. On the Links Editor dialog, select the elements to which the Definition applies.
• From a diagram: click the

When shown on a diagram, a Definition appears as follows:
To populate an element's Definition on a diagram: right-click the element, point to Populate, point to Links, and then click Definition Note Links.
Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to a Definition:
• On a diagram, a Note Link applies a Definition to an element.
