Creating a User Role
1. From the Modeler server on which you want to create a User Role, start Windows Explorer.
2. Locate the ModelerATFiles\UserRoles folder.
The path of the ModelerATFiles\UserRoles folder is: C:\ProgramData\PTC Integrity Modeler\ModelerATFiles\UserRoles
3. In the UserRoles folder, create a copy of the User Role configuration file that you want to use as a starting point for your new User Role.
4. Change the name of the new User Role configuration file to that of the User Role you are creating.
5. Using an appropriate editor, such an XLM aware editor or Notepad, open the new User Role configuration file.
6. Customize the content of the User Role configuration file to remove unwanted features from the Modeler user interface and to hide unwanted items and diagrams in the Packages pane.

If your User Role configuration file contains any errors, it will not be listed for selection in the User Roles dialog.

7. Save the User Role configuration file.
All users of the server will have access to the new User Role.
