Reconnect to configuration management > store CM tool paths locally on my computer command (CM tool integration)
This command allows you to perform configuration management tasks in Modeler for a Package that has been checked in by a user who has different drive mappings to you (unless you are using Telelogic SYNERGY/CM).
This command appears on the context menu when you right-click a Model or Package, and select Tools > Configuration Management, and then click Advanced.
When a user checks in a Package, path information for the CM tool project is stored in SCC Project Path and SCC Aux Path properties of that Package. You can determine these property values through the Configuration Management > Advanced > Detailed Report command. If your computer uses different drive mappings for the CM tool project, Modeler will not be able to locate the CM tool project from the values of the SCC Project Path and SCC Aux Path properties, resulting in no arrow on the Package icon and the Check In command not being available.
The Reconnect To Configuration Management > Store CM Tool Paths Locally on my Computer command allows you to specify the location of the CM Tool project for a Package and store that location locally in the registry on your computer. After using this command, Modeler uses the CM Tool project location specified locally rather than the location specified in the Model for the Package.
*
If all Modeler users have the same drive mappings, you should not need this command.
The Reconnect To Configuration Management > Store CM Tool Paths Globally in Model command stores the CM Tool project path information in the SCC Project Path and SCC Aux Path properties of the Package in the Model.
Only those descendent Packages that are stored in the selected CM tool model are reconnected. If your Model contains Packages from different CM tool projects, you must run the Reconnect to Configuration Management > Store CM Tool Paths Locally on my Computer/Store CM Tool Paths Globally in Model command for each CM tool project in turn.
To use this command you require a Modeler license and a CM Integration license. In addition, this command is not available when the CM tool integration is disabled - you can enable and disable the CM tool integration through the Enable Configuration Management Integration check box for the General entry on the Model > Options dialog.
