This property specifies that the Attribute or Role is derived.

By default, the Derived check box is cleared.

This property is set on the Options tab of an Attribute's or Role's Property Pages.

When an Attribute or Role is derived, on diagrams the name of the Attribute or Role is prefixed by a slash mark.

You can show the derivation script of a Variant or Requires Dependency on a diagram: right-click the Variant or Requires Dependency, point to Add, and then click Derivation Script.
