Distributing lightweight extensions to other models
Before distributing updated lightweight extensions, ensure that the Lightweight Profile Version number has been changed to a later version number. If the Lightweight Profile Version has not been changed to a later version number, models will not load the changes that have been made to the lightweight extensions.
To distributing lightweight extensions to other models
1. If the Lightweight Profile Version has not been changed to a later version number:
a. In the Packages pane, right-click the Model, and select > > .
b. Select the check box that is associated with the profile Package that you have changed.
c. Click the command for the version number part you want to increment. Major is the first number, Minor is the second number, Build is the third number, and Revision is the final number.
d. Click OK.
2. In the model in which you have defined the lightweight extensions, export your profile Package you have created and any PTC profile Packages that have been changed.
To export a profile Package:
a. Right-click the Package, and select > > .
b. In the dialog, type or select a target folder for the export, and then click OK.
3. From Modeler, open the model to which you want to add the lightweight extensions.
4. For PTC profile Packages that you exported and are present in the model, update those PTC profile Packages from the exported files:
a. Right-click the PTC profile Package, and select > > .
b. In the dialog, select the folder to which the updated profile Package was exported, and then click OK.
5. For PTC profile Packages that you exported and are not present in the model, import those PTC profile Packages from the exported files:
a. Right-click the Model, and select > > .
b. In the dialog, select the folder to which the exported PTC profile was exported, and then click OK.
6. Import your profile Package:
a. Right-click the Model, and select > > .
b. In the dialog, select the folder to which your profile Package was exported, and then click OK.
7. In the Packages pane, right-click the Model, and then click Reinitialize Profile Helper
Alternatively, close the model and Modeler, and then start Modeler and open the model.
