Component Sharing Configuration Manager - source tab (Component Sharing Wizard)
This topic is for the Source tab of the Component Sharing Configuration Manager.
The options on this tab depend on the Action that is selected on the Main tab.
For Export To CM, Export To Directory and Export To Model actions, the following controls appear on this tab:
• Model box - specifies the name and version of the model that is being exported.
• Model selection button - opens a dialog to select the model you want to export.
• Components browser - lists the Packages that are available in the selected model, select the check boxes associated with the Packages you want to export.
For an Import From CM action, the following controls appear on this tab:
• CM Tool box - shows the name of the CM tool being used.
• Model selection button - opens a dialog to select the model you want to export. The dialog allows you to specify the following information:
◦ CM Tool– select the CM tool you are using
◦ Database – select the required CM tool database, or click the associated button to specify the path and name of a database.
◦ Project – specify the project in the database. For example, $/MyProject for a Visual SourceSafe project.
◦ CWF File– specify the name of the CWF file that you want to import.
◦ Version – specify the version of the CWF file you want to import, or leave blank to import the latest version of the file.
• Components browser - shows the Packages that will be imported.
For an Import From Directory action, the following controls appear on this tab:
◦ CWF File box - shows the name of the CWF file you have selected for import. Select a CWF file through the associated selection button. When you select a CWF file, the Component Information dialog displays information about the selected file, including which Packages it contains.
◦ Components box - lists the Packages that are contained in the selected CSF file.
For an Import From Model action, the following controls appear on this tab:
• Model box - shows the name of the Modeler model you have selected for import. Select a Modeler model through the associated selection button.
• Components browser - shows the Packages in the selected model. Select the check boxes associated with the Packages that are required for the component.
In addition to the controls on the tab, the following commands and buttons are available:
• File > New command - opens a dialog for you to create a configuration file.
• File > Open command - opens a dialog for you to select a configuration file to open.
• File > Save command - saves any changes you have made to the configuration file.
• File > Exit command - closes the dialog without performing a component sharing operation. If there are unsaved changes, you are prompted to save those changes.
• Help button - opens this Help topic.
• Run button - starts the component sharing operation using the settings set on the dialog.
