Using assisted layout for diagrams
Assisted layout helps you to align symbols while moving or resizing them. As you move or resize symbols on a diagram, dotted lines appear to guide your top, bottom, left, right, and center alignment with respect to nearby symbols.
This feature is currently available for the following diagrams:
Class diagrams
Requirement diagrams
Use case diagrams
Block definition diagrams
Internal block diagrams
Variant diagrams
To disable the dotted guidelines, on the Format ribbon, clear the Snap to Symbol check box. You can also use the ALT or the SHIFT key to disable the guidelines.
