Redefining a stereotype's tag definitions and scripts on a profile diagram
You can redefine non-reference Tag Definitions and Scripts, and you can redefine reference Tag Definitions.
After redefining a sub Stereotype's Tag Definition or Script, you can change selected properties of the Tag Definition or Script independently of the super Stereotype's Tag Definitions and Scripts:
For Tag Definitions: Name Alias, Description, Constraints, Derivation Script, Published, Hidden, Read Only, Browsable, Show On All Diagrams, Enumeration Values and target types for a reference Tag Definition. All other properties are shared.
For Script items: Script, Description, Constraints, Category, Command and Hidden.
To set the properties of a redefined Tag Definition or Script, ensure that you select the appropriate version of the Tag Definition or Script through the parent sub Stereotype on a Profile Diagram or in the Relationships pane.
To redefine a non-reference Tag Definition or Script:
1. On the Profile Diagram, locate the sub Stereotype that owns the Tag Definition or Script you want to redefine.
2. On the sub Stereotype, right-click the Tag Definition or Script you want to redefine, and then click Redefine.
To redefine a reference Tag Definition:
1. On the Profile Diagram, locate the sub Stereotype that owns the reference Tag Definition you want to redefine.
2. Show the inherited reference Tag Definitions links on the diagram: right-click the sub Stereotype, and select Populate > Reference Tags.
3. Locate the reference Tag Definition you want to redefine. If there are multiple links for the same reference Tag Definition, you can use any link.
4. Right-click the reference Tag Definition, and then click Redefine.
You can add additional target type to the redefined reference Tag Definition by adding a reference Tag Definition to the sub Stereotype, and then from the popup menu selecting that redefined reference Tag Definition.
