Differencing a package with the same package in a different model
You can compare a Package with the same Package in a different model, that is, both Packages have the same underlying ID. A package with the same ID can appear in different models because of Package imports and outputs, Package sharing through the Component Sharing Wizard, cloning of models, and Modeler configuration management operations such as model versioning.
To compare a package with the same package in a different model:
1. From Modeler, open the Model that contains the Package you want to compare with the same Package in a different model.
2. Right-click the Package you want to compare, and then click Tools > Diff With Other Model.
3. From the dialog, select the other model version, and then click Open.
The differences are displayed in the Model Differencer dialog.
