1. In the Packages pane, locate the Package or Model that is to own the IDL Event.

2. Right-click the Package, point to New, point to IDL Profile, and then click Event.

3. From the Type Selector dialog, select the No Type option, or select a Basic Type, Class, Data Type, Message, Structure, Type Definition or Value Type to use as a payload.

4. Click OK

5. Type the name of the IDL Event, and then press the Enter key
