Creating a block property on a parametric diagram (SysML)

When you create a Block Property on a Parametric Diagram, you can create it in the following ways:
Using an existing item as a type.
Using a new item as a type.
Untyped - when you create an untyped Block Property, at a future time you must specify a type for it.
Note that you can drag Block Properties from an appropriate pane to a Parametric Diagram.
To create a block property using an existing value type as a type:
1. Open the Parametric Diagram.
2. On the diagram's tab, click the Block Property button.
3. On the diagram, click in free space.
4. Select the Existing Type option.
5. In the Browser, select the item you want to use as a type, and then click OK.
6. Type the name of the Block Property, and then press the Enter key.
To create a block property using a new value type as a type:
1. Open the Parametric Diagram.
2. On the diagram's tab, click the Block Property button.
3. On the diagram, click in free space.
4. Select the New Type option.
5. In the Type list, select the type of the item you want to create and use as a type.
6. In the Name box, type the name of the item that is going to be created and used as a type.
7. Click OK.
8. Type the name of the Block Property, and then press the Enter key.
To create an untyped block property:
1. Open the Parametric Diagram.
2. On the diagram's tab, click the Block Property button.
3. On the diagram, click in free space.
4. Select the Untyped option, and then click OK.
5. Type the name of the Block Property, and then press the Enter key.
